I believe it's important to take the time to reflect on the little things that make us happy, no matter how frivolous our perceptions may be. When I started the 'Eight Things' series, I promised myself I would do it on a weekly basis and well, as you probably noticed, that hasn't quite been the case. In between my internship, summer traveling and my social agenda, this effort has been a bit of a challenge. I'm certain I'm not the only one with a relatively busy schedule, so here I am once again, reminding you to celebrate all the little things that currently bring you bliss. These are eight things that have made {my} August fabulous.

A
glimpse into my scrapbook where I keep a collection of quotes,
photographs, letters, souvenirs and artwork. On the left page is a
letter my Grandmother wrote me the year I was born. On the right, a few
quotes and a small painting I purchased from a street vendor in
Paris.

I grew up by the ocean so nothing makes me feel more at home than a "beachy" feel and coastal accents.
